Hi! My name is Inés Hernández. I'm an interdisciplinary artist in NYC, an experimenter, and a fervent lover of raw honey. My work explores archetypal symbolism & transformation through jewelry, metalwork, collage, and printmaking.

Raw Honey Lover is a spiritual & thematic continuation of living practice: seeing reality as it is, with the wisdom to know that our individual & collective energy have the power to shape it. To know & integrate our shadow, to move with loving-kindness, to observe without judgment, and to feel our interconnectedness with all life allows us to know higher worlds, right here on earth.

Born in the Year of the Snake, Raw Honey Jewelry opened on the Lunar New Year of 2025. This is a project of creation & adornment, making tangible the connection between the visible & the unseen through transformation & symbolism. When you wear Raw Honey Jewelry, this connection becomes an embodied dimension to explore with joyful curiosity: a peregrination I call the path to higher worlds. My hope is that you will reach for these pieces when you need a bit of extra luck, inspiration, and protection on the journey.

Archetypically, this is part of what a necklace symbolizes. Worn around the neck, it protects the point at which mind, spirit, and psyche connect with the body. A pendant may cover the throat, the seat of voice and breath, or the heart, invoking courage, love, and vital life force.

Serpentine wire forms in starframe pendants reflect our meandering path, inwards and upwards and flowing in both directions: to a higher place that connects us to all life, and further within to deeper knowledge of ourselves. Art, language, and connection to resonant symbolism are keys to the door of this knowledge. The star's 5 points face out, protecting the energy contained within. In other pieces, bones and totem animals invoke the strength & the spirit of the beings from which they came, while crystals channel the grounding, protective, and infinite spirit of the earth & natural forces that bore them. 

Raw Honey Jewelry is handmade with components including glass, raw crystals, vintage charms, metals, rarities, and visual art. My work is designed to accompany you on the path to higher worlds, and on every detour & quest along the way. Each piece is imbued with the energy of joyful creation & I offer it to you to make its energy your own.
